COLLE 11: GUNS, PRISONS & THE DEATH PENALTY
Vocabulary: Learn the vocabulary for this colle. Your colleur will test you at the beginning of the session. Make sure you can spell all words correctly in English.
Civilisation: Civilisation sheets are available for you to consult in the folder dedicated to DOSSIER#11 (FICHES DE CIVILISATION - Les armes à feu - La peine de mort). You are strongly encouraged to browse them before your colle.
To help you prepare for your colle, I have also added a new folder entitled "COLLE TEXTS FROM PREVIOUS YEARS (to help you prepare for your colle)" containing colle texts from previous years. You can use these texts to broaden your reflection on the topic and to find additional examples and arguments, but these are NOT the texts you are to prepare for this colle.
- First student: home preparation of this week’s text. Only BRIEF notes are allowed. Do not come with fully written-out notes or your colleur will collect them. This is an oral test: you must sound fluent and spontaneous.
- Second student: 20-minute preparation of a newspaper article (≈500 words) dealing with guns, prisons, criminal justice or the death penalty, provided by the colleur.
- Third student: 30–40-minute preparation of a 2025 CCINP recording selected by the colleur from this selection: 4, 11, 30, or 58.
Please make sure to download the files before coming in. The cellular connection is weak in Building D.
